Does the weather affect the tours?
No. Barring Biblical-style floods, the tours continue rain or shine.
Will we be entering the Uffizi Galleries?
Not on this tour. We have a separate Uffizi tour, which we can tailor to learn about the family through the works they commissioned and collected.
Will we see Michelangelo’s David?
You will see a copy of Michelangelo’s David which stands outside the Palazzo Vecchio. When seen in context with the building and other works around it, it has even greater significance.
Will we enter the Palazzo Vecchio?
No, we do not enter any of the buildings. Instead, you are given an informed history of the Medici family, brought to life through the places they lived, worked and are laid to rest. We do have a separate Palazzo Vecchio and Piazza della Signoria tour which includes a tour of the palace itself.
Will there be strangers on our tour?
No, this is a private tour with history brought alive by your local and knowledgeable guide.
