PALAZZO VECCHIO
PIAZZA DELLA SIGNORIA
For over seven centuries, the Palazzo Vecchio has stood as the emblem of Florence's civic authority. Dominating the Piazza della Signoria since 1299, the palace served as the private residence of the Medici and the seat of the Republic.
Embark on a Palazzo Vecchio tour led by an expert guide as you delve into its rich history and the pictorial cycle of the palace.
Follow the rise of the Medici dynasty and their profound impact on the city. Meet Renaissance luminaries such as Leonardo da Vinci, and Michelangelo through their art.
Witness the transformation of Florence's republican democracy into the quasi-monarchical court of the Medici, while encountering pivotal historical figures like the radical cleric Savonarola, whose fiery preaching and infamous "bonfire of the vanities" shook the city in the late 15th century.

Your pre-booked tickets mean we can skip-the-line for the ticket office.
Do children under the age of 18 have to pay?
No, but we do need to have evidence of their age when we book the tickets, and to present on the day, as we need to book a free ticket.
Does the weather affect the tours?
No. Barring Biblical-style floods, the tours continue rain or shine.
