Born and raised in the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead in Berkshire, England, I always had a passion for history and art. That love brought me to Italy two decades ago, and it quickly became my adopted home.

 

Over the years, I’ve immersed myself in its art, history, and way of life, becoming fluent in Italian and earning the credentials to guide and inspire visitors like you.

Who is your favourite Italian artist?

It changes depending on what I'm reading at the time. I have to constantly update and refresh my knowledge, so if I'm reading about Artemisia Gentileschi, she will be my current passion. However, I always return to the architect Filippo Brunelleschi for his innovation.

What do you love most about Florence?

That it has retained a lot of its character and authenticity despite growing tourism and coporate businesses. You can still find artisans at work here, and there is art at every corner.
